Germany opened a new drone security research center on Tuesday, Aug. 18, less than two weeks after an explosive-laden unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was found near a Ukrainian cargo plane at Leipzig-Halle Airport. German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt called the incident part of a broader hybrid threat pattern linked to Russia.
