Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua hosted a delegation from the Wiper Patriotic Front at his residence on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Gachagua highlighted the growing political cooperation between Mount Kenya regions, describing the emerging alignment as a potent force capable of shaping Kenya's future administration ahead of the 2027 General Election.
He emphasized that Mount Kenya South, East, and West united would create a substantial, influential political machine. Gachagua credited Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka for uniting various sections of Mount Kenya, countering efforts to divide the region during the presidency of William Ruto. The delegation's visit came amid intensified political efforts to build alliances and consolidate support in the run-up to the upcoming elections.
