Former Falcons player says he’s grateful for support after mother’s murder

Nateal Campbell, a former NFL player and brother of the late mother, expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support from both the community and the NFL after his mother's tragic murder. Last month, 71-year-old Nateal Campbell was discovered deceased in her Buckhead townhome. Subsequently, one of her sons, Ciarre Campbell, was arrested and charged with the murder, while their younger son, Calais Campbell, who plays as a defensive end for the Baltimore Ravens, also extended his appreciation for the community's kindness.

At a recent Ravens practice, Calais stated that, despite the difficult times, he and his family are coping with the situation and deeply appreciative of the love and prayers they have received. He did not delve into the specifics of his mother's demise but highlighted that participating in football has brought him joy during these challenging months.

Ciarre Campbell is currently held in the Fulton County Jail without bond following his arrest on suspicion of slaying his mother by cutting her neck.
