LAHORE: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab reported on Tuesday that water levels in most rivers across the province were normal, despite low-level flooding occurring in several areas. According to their latest situation report, the Chenab, Jhelum, Ravi, and Sutlej rivers were all at normal water levels. Low-level flooding was noted in the Indus River at Kalabagh, Taunsa, and Chashma, with flow rates of 333,000 cusecs, 338,000 cusecs, and 318,000 cusecs, respectively.
In Narowal, low-level flooding was reported in Nullah Basantar, Nullah Ak, and Nullah Palkho. The PDMA stated that Tarbela Dam was completely full at 100 percent capacity, while Mangla Dam was at 70 percent. Rainfall is expected to continue in the province until August 21, with the PDMA continuously monitoring the flood and weather conditions.
