Five snakes rescued in Hyderabad on Naga Panchami

Priya Krishnan reported that on Monday, the Greater Hyderabad Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and People for Animals successfully rescued five cobras during Naga Panchami in Hyderabad's Old City. Three of the snakes were seized from Shalibanda, while two were rescued from Moghalpura. All the cobras underwent medical examination and treatment, with two deemed fit for release while two needed around ten days of care and observation.

One cobra is currently in critical condition. A total of 35 volunteers assisted in the rescue and awareness efforts across the city. The rescued snakes will be released into their natural habitat once they pass a veterinary assessment.
