Everton address transfer concerns ahead of Premier League opener

Everton CEO Angus Kinnear has addressed transfer concerns surrounding the club's need for a new right-back ahead of their Premier League opener against Crystal Palace. The Toffees have been actively seeking a full-back for some time now, with former Fulham defender Kenny Tete almost joining on a free transfer last season before turning down the opportunity to sign a new deal with Fulham. Centre-back Jake O’Brien has stepped up admirably in the role since Seamus Coleman left, but the departure of Nathan Patterson from the squad has left the club lacking a natural right-back.

Kinnear hopes the club can fill the position before facing Crystal Palace, emphasizing that Jake O'Brien has done a commendable job in the absence of a designated right-back. The manager acknowledged fan frustrations, noting that even the Prime Minister has expressed his support for the club's efforts.
