Employees of IMC conduct national flag collection drive

KARACHI - The employees of Indus Motor Company Limited (IMC) recently organized a National Flag Collection Drive to gather national flags and bunting that were left behind in public spaces following Independence Day celebrations, according to the Business Recorder. Volunteers undertook the task of collecting flags and buntings from various locations, including Steel Town, Surjani Town, Orangi Town, Maripur, Super Highway, and Airmen Club Road, and subsequently delivered them to IMC in line with the company's standard procedure.

In an interview, Ali Asghar Jamali, Chief Executive Officer of Indus Motor Company Limited, highlighted the significance of the event, stating, "Toyota has grown with Pakistan, and our pride in this country extends far beyond the vehicles we manufacture. The national flag embodies the country we serve, the people we work alongside, and the future we are committed to. Respecting its dignity is a straightforward duty, yet a crucial one, and I am proud to witness our employees assume responsibility for it."

This National Flag Collection Drive is an annual event organized by IMC's Employee Volunteering Program and its CSR initiative, Concern beyond Cars. The company has made it a long-standing tradition to involve employees in recovering flags from roads, pavements, and other public areas after the celebrations on August 14.
