CACI opens defense electronics manufacturing facility in New York

CACI International Inc, a technology-focused national security company, has inaugurated a 61,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in the Greater Rochester area of New York. According to the company's press release, this expansion more than triples CACI's manufacturing space. The new facility will concentrate on the development, testing, assembly, and delivery of electronic warfare technologies, specifically the U.S. Army's Terrestrial Layer System Brigade Combat Team Manpack program.

This program provides electronic warfare technology for dismounted soldiers. John Mengucci, CACI's President and CEO, emphasized the company's long-term commitment to Rochester and the delivery of advanced technologies to meet customer needs in challenging environments. The facility is designed to handle production, delivery, training, customer acceptance testing, and onsite storage for the TLS BCT Manpack program.

With room for future expansion, it also promises to produce additional software-defined electronic warfare capabilities. The selection of Rochester was attributed to the city's talent pool and capabilities. CACI currently employs 27,000 people and is listed among the Fortune 500, Russell 1000 Index, and S&P MidCap 400 Index.
