BTS fans divided after RM and J-hope pose with Chris Brown — as Jungkook and V also play his songs

Seoul, August 18 - BTS members RM and J-Hope have faced backlash from fans after posing with Chris Brown and playing his songs at concerts. The pair attended Brown's show in Toronto before a photograph of them appeared on Brown's Instagram. J-Hope also shared a story of the two singing and dancing to Brown's 2011 hit Look At Me Now.

The posts drew criticism from some ARMY fans, questioning why the K-pop stars supported Brown given his history of violence. Jungkook and V were also criticized for playing and singing along to Brown's songs on a Weverse livestream. Fans expressed shock, disappointment, and upset on social media, with some comparing the situation to the artist's actions.

One fan, who experienced sexual assault, said she was deeply upset by the situation. The criticism centered on Brown's 2009 assault of Rihanna, for which he pleaded guilty. Some fans argued that BTS members carry greater responsibility due to the artist's global reach, while others believed that enjoying Brown's music did not mean endorsing his personal conduct.
