Bomb Threat Email Triggers Panic At Nagpur School; Police Search Premises, No Suspicious Object Found

Nagpur, Maharashtra, India - A bomb threat email triggered panic at Centre Point School, Wardhaman Nagar, on Tuesday, leading to the evacuation of students as a precautionary step. Police, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, and dog squad conducted a comprehensive search of classrooms, school premises, and buses. No incriminating material was discovered during the search.

The school promptly informed the police and relocated children to a safe assembly area. ACP Rohit Ovhal of Nagpur Police stated that the school administration received a threatening email, prompting the thorough investigation. The focus now lies on identifying the source of the digital threat. Police are actively investigating the origin of the email and those responsible.

Addressing parent concerns, the officer urged calm, emphasizing the police's capability to handle the situation and secure the area. Multiple schools in the city received similar threatening messages, and strict security checks are being maintained at school gates.
