BMC School Students Explore Mumbai Through Camera Lens, Showcase Landmarks On World Photography Day

On World Photography Day, students from BMC and government schools in Mumbai seized a unique opportunity to explore the city through their camera lenses. This initiative, part of a collaboration between Cityflo and Salaam Bombay Foundation, allowed the students to travel across the city on Cityflo buses, capturing images of iconic landmarks such as the Gateway of India, Mani Bhavan, and the Paradox Museum.

The students, including Harshraj Sahani, Komal Sutar, Prithvi Zende, and Taushef Mansoori, showcased their photographs on Cityflo’s platforms, offering a fresh perspective of Mumbai from a young and distinctive viewpoint.

The programme, a joint effort between Cityflo and Salaam Bombay Foundation, provides students with photography training and the chance to venture out and photograph key locations. For Cityflo, the initiative goes beyond its regular urban bus service, highlighting the company’s commitment to providing enriching experiences for its passengers. Cityflo Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer Sankalp Kelshikar emphasized that the photographs offer a unique perspective of Mumbai as seen through the eyes of young people.

For Salaam Bombay Foundation, the programme aims to instill confidence in students by allowing them to visit iconic places and share their unique viewpoints. Students shared their experiences, with Harshraj Sahani expressing excitement about photographing the Gateway of India, Komal Sutar describing the bus journey as a picnic, Prithvi Zende mentioning his introduction to photography through the Foundation’s program, and Taushef Mansoori highlighting the joy of preserving memories through photography.

The featured photographs not only provide a visual journey through Mumbai but also serve as a testament to the students’ growth in their photography skills.
