Balochistan seeks faster work on road projects

Quetta was the site of a high-level meeting held by the Communication and Works Department, focusing on reviewing the advancement of Phase I and II road-sector projects. The assembly, presided over by C&W Secretary Babar Khan, saw the presence of seasoned engineers, project coordinators, and district officers from diverse regions.

Project participants provided updates on the status of all road-sector projects under Phases I and II. C&W Secretary emphasized that the completion of these development schemes, either within the fiscal year or ahead of schedule, was the department's utmost priority. He expressed dissatisfaction with the sluggish pace of work on certain critical projects, indicating zero tolerance for delays. Strict instructions were issued to hasten construction work and enhance the progress rate.

Secretary Khan highlighted that the timely completion of these projects would usher prosperity into the province's remote and underdeveloped areas. Improved road connectivity would facilitate easier access to urban centers, benefiting all sections of society in these regions. He underscored that infrastructure development and timely execution of projects were pivotal drivers of growth and stability in Balochistan.

He further noted that the benefits of these schemes must reach even the most isolated communities promptly, ensuring equitable distribution of development fruits.
