Allyson Felix to publish memoir, 'Fast and Slow'

Allyson Felix, the most decorated track and field athlete of all time, will release her memoir, titled "Fast and Slow: Discovering Strength Beyond Speed," on March 30. In her upcoming book, Felix will recount the pivotal moments that have shaped her life as an athlete, mother, and businesswoman.

Felix announced in April that she plans to return to sprint competition in 2027 at the age of 41, marking a comeback after a four-year retirement. She aims to compete in her sixth Olympics in her home city of Los Angeles in 2028. To achieve this, she will have to qualify for the Olympic Trials in June 2028 and perform well in the 400m final to secure a spot in the relay or individual event.

In a recent interview, Felix expressed her astonishment at returning to competition, stating, "In a million years... I never thought I'd return." Despite this, she is deeply proud of her achievements and is embracing a new chapter in her life, filled with uncertainty and the possibility of redefining what is humanly possible at her age. For Felix, the memoir is a love story with Los Angeles, the city that raised her, and a testament to her courage in pursuing audacious dreams.
