오픈AI, 연세대 ‘AI로 국회 견제·감독 평가’ 연구 지원

OpenAI, in collaboration with Seoul National University, is providing $1 million in research funding and access to its AI models for 14 global university and research institution projects. Among these initiatives, Seoul National University has been selected to investigate the topic of "AI-powered democratic accountability" using AI technology to analyze parliamentary proceedings and evaluate how effectively the legislature challenges and supervises the government.

This project, which builds upon OpenAI's April announcement of a broader "Intelligence Era Industry Policy," aims to expand on the economic opportunities AI can create and enhance societal resilience through the responsible use of AI in public policy, cross-national information sharing, and national safety. The research team at Seoul National University will employ independent verification by multiple researchers to ensure the accuracy of their findings.

This endeavor is part of OpenAI's commitment to addressing the challenges and opportunities presented by the era of artificial intelligence.
