2Baba’s wife, Natasha, becomes Edo Assembly minority leader

Natasha Osawaru, the wife of Nigerian singer 2Baba, has been appointed as the minority leader of the Edo State House of Assembly. The announcement was made during Monday's plenary session following a reshuffling of the Assembly's leadership positions. Osawaru, who represents the Egor Constituency, had previously defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to join the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in May 2026.

As the new Minority Leader, Osawaru, who also previously served as Deputy Majority Leader, pledged to uphold the principles of rigorous debate, accountability, and advocacy for the ordinary citizen. Her appointment reflects the confidence placed in her by her colleagues and constituents.
