Xenophobia: South Africa anti-immigration group issues fresh Sept 30 deadline

The xenophobic anti-immigration group March and March has set September 30 as the deadline for undocumented foreigners to leave South Africa, announcing a new protest during the 46th SADC Summit in Durban. The group marched through central Durban, urging African leaders to repatriate their undocumented citizens. March and March previously led nationwide protests on June 30, demanding stricter measures against undocumented foreigners.

The group announced its latest action, stating they are calling on heads of state to prepare for the deportation of all illegal foreigners by September 30. The summit in Durban is attended by leaders from the region's 16 member states. President Cyril Ramaphosa recently condemned discrimination and violence against foreign nationals, urging South Africans to be vigilant in reporting any illegal foreigners.
