Their ceremony, conducted in the living room of their Cascais, Portugal mansion, was a far cry from the expectations of a grand event.

In an interview with Vogue, Rodriguez discussed her shift in perception regarding weddings, despite having childhood fantasies of a grand celebration. "As a little girl, I envisioned the grandest castle, the most magnificent carriage, the longest gown and a crown adorned with diamonds," she said. "Now, I find myself saying: no. I desire something intimate, shared with my partner and our children, in the comfort of our home."

Rodriguez explained that while they have access to castles, houses, islands, horses, and cars, an intimate gathering holds a unique significance for them. She emphasized that the living room, where they share daily meals, served as the perfect venue for their vows. Rodriguez expressed her hope that their children would remember the beautiful event at their family table in 30 years.
