Who is Deepak Mhaske, BJP leader who replaces Amit Malviya?

Deepak Mhaske, a 58-year-old social media in-charge of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has taken over the role previously held by Amit Malviya. Mhaske, hailing from Chhattisgarh's Raipur, boasts nearly two decades of experience within the party's IT and social media cell. He has also led social media campaigns in various Assembly elections, including those in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and West Bengal, where the BJP achieved significant victories.

Mhaske is a first-generation BJP leader, while his brother, Tej Pratap Mhaske, is associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He has not contested any elections. On August 14, Mhaske met with BJP chief Nitin Nabin in Delhi, where they discussed several topics related to the organization and public service. Mhaske praised Nabin's guidance, simplicity, and dedication to the organization.

The BJP's appointments come at a critical juncture as it seeks to expand its reach and spread its message throughout the country. Amit Malviya expressed his congratulations to all newly appointed office bearers of the BJP, particularly praising Deepak Mhaske in a tweet on August 17, 2026.
