Actor Yash, set to return to the big screen after a four-year hiatus, recently addressed a controversial comment made by actress Rashmika Mandanna about him in 2017. During a rapid-fire television show segment, Rashmika was asked to name who she would call "Mr. Showoff" in the Kannada film industry, and Yash's name was her quick reply.

This sparked backlash from his fans, who demanded an apology from Rashmika. However, Yash revealed during an appearance on Aap Ki Adalat that he still doesn't know why she chose to say that. He also criticized television shows for putting celebrities on the spot and forcing them to give rapid answers. Yash further addressed producer Allu Aravind's remark about Yash's pre-KGF reputation, stating that while it's true cinema doesn't belong solely to producers, the collective effort of all involved parties should be acknowledged.
