Wajackoyah: My opponents fear sharing platforms with me

Former presidential candidate George Wajackoyah from the Roots Party claimed that his political opponents fear sharing public platforms with him. Speaking on K24 TV on Monday, August 17, 2026, Wajackoyah stated his intention to campaign for the 2027 General Election. He explained that he was actively engaging with Kenyans on the ground, which led him to discontinue his presence on social media.

Wajackoyah contended that his previous experience demonstrated his ability to gain political momentum rapidly. He emphasized that he did not need to constantly announce his activities to show his readiness for the 2027 election, as Kenyans were already aware of him. The Roots Party leader also highlighted that his opponents were reluctant to invite him to their public events, suggesting that they were afraid of appearing alongside him.

He argued that sharing a platform with his opponents would expose their political positions and differences between them. Wajackoyah challenged his opponents to continue with their own campaign while he pursued his grassroots strategy, asserting that he would start his own campaign and compare it with theirs. He reaffirmed his intention to remain in the presidential race and stated that his Roots Party was already registered with a presidential candidate.
