Tosin Ashafa Marks Birthday With Donations, Fellowship at Lagos Correctional Centre for Girls

Entrepreneur and politician Basheer Tosin Ashafa celebrated his birthday by making a visit to the Lagos State Correctional Centre for Girls. The team associated with Ashafa presented essential items and took time to engage with the girls, aiming to enhance their welfare and development. On the day of his birthday, August 14, the team visited the facility on August 16, per a team statement.

Following meetings with the facility's Principal, Mrs. Tobiloba, the team addressed pressing needs, notably the provision of deodorants. Subsequently, they distributed essential supplies, including tissue, sanitary towels, cartons of Indomie noodles, Coca-Cola soft drinks, and deodorants, to the girls. The facility housed approximately 45 girls at the time.

In addition to the donations, the team spent around 90 minutes interacting with the girls, listening to their aspirations and encouraging them to stay committed to their future goals. The team highlighted the impressive academic progress of some girls, including those who had entered university and were performing well. They praised the dedication of Principal Tobiloba, Mrs. Olowo, and other staff, emphasizing the potential and resilience displayed by the girls.

The initiative aimed to provide practical support while demonstrating care and concern for the well-being of the girls. The team emphasized that though the items were modest, they hoped the gesture would bring joy and remind the girls of their value and support. The visit was seen as a meaningful way to celebrate Ashafa's birthday by giving back to the community and supporting young girls on their path to a brighter future.
