This new drone stays aloft for more than day and resists jamming. Ukraine says it can now reach beyond the Urals

Ukraine has officially approved the Dovbush T40 drone, a strategic-level unmanned aircraft designed for deep reconnaissance and precision strikes on targets deep within Russian territory. The Defense Ministry announced that the drone extends Ukraine's capabilities to reach Siberia, boasting a wingspan of nearly 5 meters and a range exceeding the Urals.

This long-endurance drone can stay aloft for more than a day, allowing it to threaten deep-rear sites such as factories and airfields that Russia has kept safe from the front lines. The Dovbush T40 boasts several advantages over similar drones, including ultra-low radar visibility, a high-performance engine with electronic fuel injection, and the ability to function under jamming conditions.

It is a built on a proven system, evolving from the Dovbush T20 and Kotyhoroshko drones which have been in use since 2022, and is part of a growing fleet of domestically produced uncrewed systems.
