‘The Traitors: New Blood’ Trailer Teases Next-Level Deception With First Full Cast of Ordinary Americans

The trailer for "The Traitors: New Blood," premiering on NBC on September 17, introduces a full cast of ordinary Americans competing in the famed castle. These contestants, who are unknown to each other and the audience, have the potential to win a prize fund worth up to $250,000. According to the trailer, host Alan Cumming states, "When nobody knows who you are, you can get away with anything," while a contestant adds, "When was the last time you were able to go into a room without anyone knowing anything about you?"

Several contestants have already committed to lying, as evidenced by one contestant's comment, "The name of the show is called 'The Traitors,' I'm going to deceive somebody." The all-civilian cast features a diverse range of occupations, including an astrophysicist and a funeral director, all selected from over 80,000 applicants.

The show, produced by Studio Lambert, is executive produced by Alan Cumming, Mike Cotton, Sam Rees-Jones, Rosie Franks, Jack Burgess, Stephen Lambert, Tim Harcourt, and Doran Azouelos. "The Traitors: New Blood" debuts on Thursday, September 17, with a two-hour premiere of its first two episodes, followed by additional episodes on September 24 and subsequent Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT, as well as streaming the following day on Peacock.
