Survey says Pixel users want Google to stop wasting all that space

A recent survey on Android Authority revealed that Pixel users are more concerned about Google's handling of the brand's hardware than its thinner design. The survey asked readers which major Pixel flaw they wanted Google to address, with two issues topping the list. Overheating despite the bulk was the primary concern for 42.3% of respondents, followed closely by the stagnant battery capacity across generations, which affected 39% of voters.

The survey results suggest that consumers prefer thicker devices that offer smarter improvements over lighter models with no added value. A reader named lrsebastian93 summarized the issue well, wishing for a slight increase in thickness to accommodate a larger battery, better cooling, and upgraded camera sensors. Another 14% of respondents chose weight and thickness as their main concern, indicating that users are okay with bulkier phones as long as Google justifies the extra size.

Only 4.7% of participants voted for Pro-only features like HiLight as the main issue they'd like Google to fix, demonstrating that most users are satisfied with the base model and don't prioritize exclusive features over practical improvements.
