‘Shah Rukh a colleague, not friend’: Sunny Deol recalls ripping pants in anger during Darr

In 1993, actors Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan faced a significant creative disagreement while working on the film Darr, leading to a 16-year silence between them. However, they recently reconciled at a public event celebrating Sunny's success in Gadar 2. During a recent interview, Deol shared his angriest moment on the sets of Darr, revealing he ripped his own jeans out of fury due to his disagreement with director Yash Chopra over a scene involving the antagonist Rahul, played by Shah Rukh Khan.

The actor emphasized that insecurity was the root cause of such irrational actions among actors in the industry. When asked if Shah Rukh is his friend, Deol clarified that they were colleagues, stating that friendships in the film industry are rare and usually formed during childhood. Deol also recounted his regret over the film Darr, calling it the worst experience of his career, and vowed never to work with Yash Chopra again due to perceived betrayal.
