Richard Hughes edges closer to confirming Liverpool’s next transfer

Liverpool is on the verge of confirming their next transfer as the transfer window draws near. Despite only three signings so far, there are several players that could significantly impact the team's future. While Andoni Iraola needs some issues resolved, the latest news suggests Richard Hughes is fully on board.

Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye are two strikers linked with Liverpool, and discussions about their potential moves are set to continue this week. Both players would be excellent additions to Liverpool's attack. Barcola, 23, has two years left on his contract with Paris Saint-Germain and is versatile enough to be used anywhere in the front three. Mbaye, just 18, is a Senegal international who has played 42 games for Ligue 1 during his two seasons at the club.

Hugo Ekitike, Liverpool's right-winger, is out until at least 2027, and with Salah leaving, the club needs a world-class replacement. However, the club already has several players who can fill this role temporarily. The discussions for Barcola and Mbaye will continue next week, and as long as PSG's valuations remain reasonable, this could be a significant double deal for Liverpool.
