Raiders Late-Round Rookie Running With Starters

The Las Vegas Raiders have selected Malik Benson in the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Benson, a wide receiver, arrived at the team with unproven talent. Head coach Klint Kubiak has been impressed with Benson's performance, giving him a chance to play with the first-string offense. Kubiak stated, "Time on task helps everybody get better," emphasizing that Malik has earned his reps with the starters.

Benson's collegiate career was unique, as he played for four different schools before transferring to the University of Oregon, where he had his breakout season. This season, Benson recorded 43 catches for 719 yards and six touchdowns. He is now competing with other wide receivers for a starting role as the 2026 season approaches.
