PTPTN, the National Higher Education Fund Corporation, is encouraging Malaysian students to save and improve their financial literacy through the Short Savings Drama Competition (SSPN) 2026. The competition, themed "Saving a Million Dreams," offers a total prize pool of over RM15,000, and was held nationwide on June 27th, involving students from secondary level two. The competition is open to schools that implement the Education Savings Club (KSP) module, a new program launched this academic session.

Karnival Ceria Simpan SSPN (KCS) 2026 is hosting the event as part of its efforts to educate students early on about the importance of financial management and the habit of saving. Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid, the Executive Director of PTPTN, stated that the competition is not only meant to foster a savings culture and enhance financial literacy among the younger generation but also to showcase student talents through artistic approaches and performances.

The competition provides a total cash prize of more than RM15,000, including eight special awards for schools, teachers, and students demonstrating exceptional creativity, quality, and outstanding achievements.

Winners at each level receive SSPN Savings account awards as a means of encouraging students to develop the habit of saving from a young age. The awards presentation ceremony for the Short Savings Drama Competition 2026 was officiated by Ahmad Dasuki.
