Plans submitted for new 48-pitch motorhome and campervan site in Albatera

Albatera, a picturesque town in Costa Blanca, may soon host a new motorhome and campervan site, according to submitted plans. The proposed site in La Dehesa de Albatera would span 9,300 square metres between Camino del Espartal and Rambla Salada, near the Orihuela boundary. Designed exclusively for motorhomes, campervans, and caravans, it would accommodate up to 144 guests.

The development would feature a reception, bar, social area, covered terrace, toilets, showers, laundry, and a 114-square-metre swimming pool. If approved, the site would cater to tourists seeking a quieter alternative to the busy Costa Blanca coast, particularly those interested in nature, walking, and cycling. However, obtaining regional planning approval and a separate building licence from Albatera Town Hall are necessary steps before construction can commence.

While the project remains at the planning stage, it could provide a year-round tourism option for visitors exploring the Costa Blanca and Vega Baja on four wheels.
