Paid for 2 ‘Vietnam jackfruit’ plants online but ‘got none’, Kerala man wins payout
A Kerala man who paid Rs 240 for two Vietnam jackfruit plants online received none and won a compensation payout. The Alappuzha District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission ruled against the seller, ordering Rs 240 in refund and Rs 3,000 in compensation. The buyer claimed he booked the plants on December 30, 2025, and paid via GPay.
Despite repeated requests, the seller stopped responding after January 23, 2026. The commission found the seller liable for unfair trade practice, directing him to refund Rs 240 and pay compensation.
