‘No Stampede, Don’t Believe Rumours’ Ujjain Collector Appeals Devotees Amid Heavy Nag Panchami Rush | VIDEO

Ujjain Collector Raushan Kumar Singh has urged devotees not to believe rumors during the heavy influx of worshippers on Nag Panchami in Ujjain. In a video message, he stated that over six lakh devotees have already visited the temples and that the darshan process is running smoothly without any stampede or chaos. "I appeal to everyone not to give credence to any sort of rumor," Singh emphasized.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is continuously providing instructions to the administration, he added. The appeal came as reports and videos circulated on social media about dense crowds and pushing at the entrances of temples during the celebrations. However, the Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee dismissed the rumors, stating that there was no stampede-like situation at the temple.

A few devotees were reportedly hospitalized following the incident, with doctors monitoring their condition. Videos from ANI showed a large number of devotees gathering for the special darshan of Lord Mahakal and Nagchandreshwar, with some areas witnessing heavy traffic.
