Ministry defends transfer of Sabah hospital director amid ongoing sexual harassment probe

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dzulkefly Ahmad defended the ministry's recent transfer of a Sabah hospital director, citing the need to conduct an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment. The director, whose lawyer, Joan Goh, is considering legal action, was placed at the Sabah Health Department as a medical officer. Goh's client has challenged the transfer, requesting an explanation from the ministry over the decision and the evidence used to justify it.

The sexual harassment allegations were first reported in January, involving an alleged incident that took place in October of the previous year. Sabah Police Commissioner confirmed the police had opened an investigation following a report lodged with the authorities.
