MES Indian School marks Indian Independence Day

Doha, Qatar - MES Indian School commemorated India's 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervor and enthusiasm. The event, attended by Chief Guest Hazmal Ismail, the school's governing board, and staff, kicked off with the raising of the Indian flag and the National Anthem sung by the School Choir.

Welcomed by Head Boy Master Ishan, the celebration was enlivened by a patriotic song and a spirited dance performed by students, choreographed by Jency George. Principal (Officiating) addressed the crowd, underscoring the importance of Independence Day, honoring the sacrifices of freedom fighters, and urging the youth to uphold values of freedom, unity, and responsibility.

To mark the occasion, Dr. Najeeb K P, along with the school management, staff, and students, enjoyed a ceremonial cake-cutting. Head Prefects Afthab Basheer and Amina Shahal skillfully coordinated the event, ensuring a smooth flow of activities. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks from Head Girl Evelyn Johnly, who thanked the participants.

Reflecting the strong ties between India and Qatar, the school celebration also acknowledged the harmonious relationship between the two nations, appreciating the safe and welcoming environment in Qatar. Coordinated by Steeson Mathew, Jency George, Karishma K M, Anjusha K R, Jisha Ginesh, and Sibi Daniel, the event left attendees with a renewed sense of pride and a commitment to uphold the nation's ideals and values.
