The company, Toyota Tsusho Aviation, and its subsidiary, MC Aviation, announced on October 25 that they will build a maintenance base for helicopters at a site next to Ibaraki Airport in Ibaraki Prefecture. The new base will be built on a 12,000-square-meter site at a cost of approximately 1.3 billion yen. It is scheduled to be completed by the end of March next year and will start operations in April. The base will provide maintenance services such as inspections and repairs for helicopters used for business purposes. It will also provide services such as fuel supply and aircraft washing. The company expects that the number of helicopters used for business purposes will increase in the future and that demand for maintenance services will grow. Ibaraki Airport is used for both business and commercial flights. It is located about 40 kilometers northeast of Tokyo Station.
