The General Directorate of Passports in Saudi Arabia has unveiled a five-step procedure for renewing domestic workers' iqama through the Absher portal. This initiative eliminates the need for in-person visits to passport offices. The announcement on the directorate's X account states that the service enables beneficiaries to renew their domestic workers' iqama electronically via the Absher Individuals portal.
To complete the renewal, individuals must follow these five steps: select the beneficiary whose iqama they wish to renew, choose the iqama renewal service, and follow the provided instructions. This move is part of the Ministry of Interior's broader strategy, through the General Directorate of Passports, to enhance digital services and streamline the process for residents and domestic workers to complete their transactions swiftly and efficiently.
