Here’s what’s new with iOS and macOS 27 beta 6

Apple has released iOS 27 beta 6, the latest preview update since the debut of iOS 27 at WWDC. Developer beta testers can download the update now. Since iOS 27 is a major iPhone update with an emphasis on Siri AI, Apple Intelligence, Liquid Glass refinements, and a multitude of quality-of-life changes, it is expected that every update will bring improvements. iOS 27 beta 6 is currently available for download by developers.

To install the update, open the Settings app, select General, then Software Update, and finally choose iOS 27 Developer Beta under Beta Updates.

Today's release is notable as it is the first beta to be released one week after the previous one, suggesting that the upcoming release version will have fewer visual changes and more under-the-hood improvements. So far, the beta introduces enhancements in various areas, but not every new feature is available on all iPhones. The update is compatible with iPhone 11 and later, as well as iPhone SE 2 and newer models. Siri AI and other Apple Intelligence features, however, require newer hardware.
