General : PTPTN Strengthens Financial Literacy Among Young Generation Through Simpan SSPN Short Theatre Contest

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 17 (Bernama) -- The theatre RM1 Untuk Esok (RM1 For Tomorrow) saw Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Benoni, Papar, Sabah, emerge as the champion of the 2026 national-level Simpan SSPN Short Theatre Competition organised by the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN), as part of efforts to foster a culture of saving and enhance financial literacy among the younger generation.

Gwangju City Local District Electric Vehicle Subsidy Application Announced The Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 7th that it will apply for subsidies for the purchase of electric vehicles for 1,084 units this year. The scope of application is for 770 units of environmentally friendly electric vehicles, 314 units for small and medium-sized electric trucks. The subsidy amount is 13.28 million won for electric sedans, 16 million won for electric SUVs, and up to 20 million won for small and medium electric trucks. The subsidy application can be submitted by the car dealer, and the person who purchases the vehicle and applies for the subsidy can receive it. The detailed application method and required documents are as follows. The application period is from March 8th to the end of the budget. Those who want to apply for subsidies for electric vehicles can check the Gwangju Metropolitan City website(www.gwangju.go.kr) and visit the relevant car dealer to apply. The Gwangju Metropolitan City said, "We expect that the expansion of eco-friendly electric vehicles will help reduce fine dust and improve air quality." Meanwhile, Gwangju City provided 636 eco-friendly electric vehicle subsidies last year and 533 in 2021.
