Gadzama Remembers Prof Kasunmu, Celebrates a Life Devoted to Law

Joe- Kyari Gadzama, a member of the Nigerian Bar, paid tribute to the late Professor Alfred Bandele Kasunmu, SAN. He described Professor Kasunmu as a distinguished professional whose commitment to the legal profession was unmatched. Gadzama, who had appeared against Professor Kasunmu in several matters, observed his professionalism and cordial relationships with colleagues, including those on the opposing side.

He remembered attending meetings of the Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria in Lagos, where Professor Kasunmu served as Chairman. During these meetings, Professor Kasunmu consistently demonstrated dignity, composure, and authority, upholding the standards of the legal profession. Their connection extended beyond the courtroom, with a mutual colleague and friend, Spencer, becoming a part of their circle through Professor Kasunmu's late Uncle, Lamar Abbagana.

Gadzama was deeply impressed by Professor Kasunmu's legacy, which transcended his cases and positions, encompassing a lifetime of discipline, learning, integrity, and responsibility. He joined other members of the Bar in mourning his passing, while celebrating Professor Kasunmu's life and unwavering dedication to the law. Gadzama prayed for the late Senior Advocate's soul to find peace.
