France stocks lower at close of trade; CAC 40 down 0.66%

French stocks declined at the close of trade on Monday, with the CAC 40 index slipping 0.66% and the SBF 120 index falling 0.64%. The worst performers in the CAC 40 were Kering SA, Stellantis NV, and Compagnie de Saint Gobain. STMicroelectronics NV was the top gainer, rising 5.15% to 49.06, while Sanofi SA and Euronext also posted positive gains.

The CAC 40 VIX remained unchanged at 18.96, marking a 52-week high. Gold prices increased 1.02% to $4,482.57 per troy ounce, and crude oil and Brent oil contracts also saw slight gains. EUR/USD, EUR/GBP, and the US Dollar Index Futures all remained relatively stable.
