Four-member group allegedly threatens shop owner, fires shot into air in Kasaragod

On Monday afternoon, a four-member gang allegedly threatened a shop owner and fired a shot into the air in Bhattiyapadav, located in the Miyapadavu area, under the jurisdiction of the Manjeswaram police station. The incident took place around 2 p.m. near the shop of general store owner Shuhaib Moin Sheikh. According to police reports, the gang, comprising Rahim, Khader Madankall, and two others, arrived in a car and confronted Sheikh, allegedly over a family-related dispute.

Police suspect that the attack was a continuation of a previous altercation between Sheikh and a resident from Machampady that occurred a few days ago. One of the suspects reportedly discharged a gun into the air, causing panic among local residents. No one was injured in the incident. The suspects fled the scene immediately after firing the gun.

Manjeswaram police arrived at the scene and began collecting evidence, while they are now tracking the suspects' movements and investigating the vehicle used by the gang, which is believed to have fled towards Karnataka.
