FIA Rescues 13-Year-Old Girl Being Smuggled to Saudi Arabia with Fake Marriage Certificate

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has thwarted an alleged human trafficking scheme aimed at smuggling a 13-year-old girl, Hira Firdous, from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia. The girl, a resident of Burewala, was allegedly being sent to Saudi Arabia on an Umrah visa. During a routine inspection at Faisalabad Airport, officials discovered that Hira's Nikahnama (marriage certificate), intended to authenticate the alleged marriage, was fraudulent.

Zahid, identified as the main agent involved in the operation, was apprehended at the airport. The FIA has registered a case and has nominated three suspects in connection with the alleged trafficking: Zahid, Nikah registrar Anis, and Fayyaz, a man believed to be Hira's purported husband residing in Saudi Arabia.

According to Hira, she was forcefully married and did not wish to return to either her family or her in-laws. The FIA is now expanding its investigation into the human trafficking attempt and has initiated raids to apprehend the remaining suspects. The agency is also probing the circumstances surrounding Hira's alleged forced marriage and the arrangements made to transport her to Saudi Arabia.
