Duolingo Expands Its Math Services for More Advanced and Personalized Learning
The popular language learning app is also running back-to-school discounts on subscriptions now through Sept. 11.
Duolingo, the language learning app, is expanding its offerings to include advanced math services for K-12 students. The platform has introduced grade-specific guides for parents, starting from Grade 2 through 8, to help them understand the lessons their children need to learn each year of school.
Duolingo Math now features a Math Coach, an interactive tool that allows students to interact with a character named Eddy for step-by-step coaching on challenging topics. Additionally, Zari, another Duolingo character, assists students in breaking down complex math problems into multiple steps.
A recent study conducted by Duolingo showed promising results. Eighth graders (around 12 or 13 years old) who used Duolingo Math for about five minutes a day over four weeks reported a 14% improvement in their scores. Moreover, 88% of the students felt more confident in their math abilities after using the app.
Currently, Duolingo is offering a one-year Super Family plan subscription for $144, which is cheaper than the $120 price of a one-year Super Individual subscription. This expansion in Duolingo's math services aims to provide more personalized learning experiences for students and better support for parents.
