Drake Says Ella Langley Has the ‘Goated Pen’ After ‘Choosin’ Texas’ Singer Raps Along to ‘HYFR’
Drizzy is an Ella Fella.
On Sunday, August 16, Drake took to Instagram to praise Ella Langley, a singer-songwriter whose "Choosin' Texas" has been at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for an impressive 18 weeks. The "Goated pen," Drake commented, drawing praise from fans who flooded his post with over 4,000 likes. Just hours after the post, Langley shared a TikTok video of herself lip-syncing to Drake and Lil Wayne's 2011 hit "HYFR (Hell Ya F–king Right)" bar-for-bar.
A fan playfully noted her "country by profession, Young Money by heart" status. While Drake isn't known for his forays into country music, Langley has collaborated with BigXthaPlug on the Platinum-certified hit "Hell at Night." She launches her second leg of the Dandelion Tour in Green Bay on August 20, and her "Choosin' Texas" remains a chart-topping presence, having achieved the fourth-longest stay at No. 1 in the chart's history.
