Delhi govt offering ₹5 meal? Key locations of newly launched 25 Atal Canteens across capital city

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated 25 new Atal Canteens across the capital city, coinciding with the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. These canteens will serve nutritious, hygienic meals twice a day for just ₹5. Rekha Gupta expressed her promise to deliver meals to nearly 1 lakh people every day, honoring Atal Ji and ensuring no one goes hungry.

Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu praised the initiative for providing affordable food to the poor, slum dwellers, workers, and job seekers.

Each canteen will cater to around one thousand meals per day, reaching 3.65 crore people annually. Since the launch of Atal Canteens on December 25th last year, approximately 95 lakh subsidized meals have been provided. The canteens can serve more than three and a half crore meals annually.

Key locations of the newly launched 25 Atal Canteens across Delhi include Narela, SRS Colony Tikri Khurd, SRS Colony Holambi Khurd, Timarpur, Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station, Azadpur, APMC park near Kishal Bhawan, Rithala, Guru Tegh Bahadur Colony, Amar Jyoti Colony, Lal Flat, Banjara, SC/ST Basti, Rohini, Mundka, SRS Colony Sawda Ghevra Ph -1 and Ph -2, Mangolpuri (SC), X block behind Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, Mangolpuri, Rohini Sec 3, Janakpuri, Vacant land adjacent to Mother Dairy booth in Uttam Nagar, Vikaspuri, DDA Land Green area near Vivek Vihar, Seemapuri, Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences, Mustafabad, Veer Savarkar Hospital, Karawal Nagar, and many more.
