Cuatro muertos y un herido grave en un accidente de tráfico en la N-122 en Zaragoza

A tragic traffic accident on the N-122 highway near Zaragoza has claimed the lives of four young people aged between 18 and 21, with another sustaining a serious injury. The incident occurred on Monday involving a head-on collision between a tourism vehicle and a lorry, according to sources from the Zaragoza Provincial Government.

All four victims were occupants of the same tourism vehicle that collided with the lorry. The injured individual was airlifted to a hospital in a helicopter. Another lorry was also involved in the accident, but no one was injured. Emergency services, including firefighters from the Zaragoza Province, the Guardia Civil, and 061, responded to the scene to extricate the victims.

Investigations suggest the five-seater tourism vehicle first collided with another lorry, causing it to be launched forward and then struck the lorry it had just collided with. The exact circumstances leading to the tourism vehicle crossing the path of the lorry and the subsequent events remain under investigation. All those affected are Spanish citizens, and the lorry driver remained unharmed, as did the occupants of the vehicle that had been overtaken.
