CityUHK retains top 100 position in 2026 ARWU rankings

Hong Kong's City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) has once again been recognized internationally for its exceptional research strengths. In the 2026 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), CityUHK secured a top 100 global position for the second consecutive year, moving up four places to rank 95th worldwide. The university maintained its 2nd position among Hong Kong institutions.

CityUHK demonstrated impressive performance across several key evaluation indicators. Notably, the university entered the global top 25 for the first time in the Highly Cited Researchers by Clarivate, ranking 2nd in Hong Kong. Professor Chun-Sing Lee, Acting President of CityUHK, expressed pride in these outstanding results, stating that the university's continuous improvement in teaching and research, as well as its leading edge in promoting internationalized education, contributed to this achievement.

Recognized as the Most International University in the World by Times Higher Education for three consecutive years, CityUHK will continue to harness its momentum in research and innovation, deepen cross-regional collaboration, promote the 'Study in Hong Kong' brand, and lead higher education towards new milestones.
