BJP’s TV face Shehzad Poonawala doubles down on resignation, cites finances

Shehzad Poonawala, the BJP's TV face and national spokesperson, has reiterated his resignation in a new letter to party chief Nitin Nabin, citing urgent financial and personal matters. In his letter, Poonawala stated that he has been asked to reconsider his decision but will instead transition to the private sector. He expressed his willingness to continue supporting Prime Minister Modi's vision and the BJP's work in any way possible.

Poonawala, known for being the party's primary television presence, also praised the Prime Minister, party chief, and other Union ministers in his letter. This comes after Poonawala submitted his initial resignation request on July 30, which the BJP declined to accept, prompting Poonawala to request reconsideration. The BJP leader recently updated his X bio to remove his party affiliations.
