Bills' new grass field draws mixed reviews

The Bills have replaced artificial turf with natural grass in their new stadium, Highmark Stadium. However, the quality of the grass has been a topic of mixed reviews during the preseason opener against the Panthers. One unnamed player commented to Tim Graham of The Athletic, "The field is ass right now. But it’s early." Another player described the grass as "soft, but not in a good way."

Despite these criticisms, Bills linebacker Dorian Williams stated, "The grass looked good. It was cool." Williams added that there were a few spots that "chunked up a little bit," but overall, the grass was better than playing on turf. The quarterback also acknowledged the superiority of grass over turf, noting that "the goal should be high-quality grass that performs in a way that makes it unnoticed."
