Another Lower Tier Intel Arc G3 Series APU Could Already Be In The Works

Intel Arc G3 Series processors for gaming handhelds have garnered praise since their launch, with the Arc G3 Extreme model standing out in particular. Recent rumors suggest that Intel may be developing a lower tier SKU, based on claims from leaker Jaykihn on X. The alleged new model, dubbed Panther Lake 4+0+4+4 handheld, would consist of four performance (P) cores, zero efficiency (E) cores, four low power (LP) E-cores, and four Xe3 GPU cores.

This differs from the Arc G3 Extreme and non-Extreme G3, which have 14 cores (2+8+4) and a total of 10 cores (2+8+4), respectively. The primary distinction lies in the GPU core count: the Extreme model features 12 Xe3 cores, while the non-Extreme has 10. The Arc G3 Extreme's CPU boost clock hits 4.7GHz, compared to the non-Extreme's 4.6GHz.

Intel B390 iGPU powers the Extreme model, while Intel B370 powers the non-Extreme. However, the latter model hasn't been officially released, with handhelds using the G3 Extreme model leading the way. Assuming this lower tier SKU materializes, it could make Intel Arc G3 Series handhelds more accessible to a wider audience, despite the potentially higher prices for memory chips.
