AI platform unlocks opportunities for young Nigerians

YouthDesk.ai, a novel artificial intelligence-driven platform, is set to revolutionize job, scholarship, grant, internship, and skills-development opportunities for young Nigerians. Founded by Alabi Opeyemi, a Senior Special Assistant on Youth Mobilisation to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, YouthDesk.ai brings together various youth-focused resources on a single digital platform.

The platform's standout feature, AI Padi, an AI-powered assistant, offers personalized guidance and assists users in navigating available opportunities. In addition, an Opportunity Hub aggregates jobs, scholarships, internships, grants, fellowships, and training programs in one accessible location. The platform aims to bridge the gap in information accessibility for young people, particularly those with limited formal networks and resources.

Beyond connecting users with opportunities, YouthDesk.ai seeks to foster collaboration between young people and grassroots leaders, private-sector organizations, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and development partners. The platform's development was inspired by Governor Sanwo-Olu's emphasis on youth empowerment and innovation.

YouthDesk.ai partners with businesses, government agencies, and development organizations to create pathways for employment, entrepreneurship, training, mentorship, scholarships, and capacity building. The initiative targets young people in underserved areas, where information about opportunities can be limited due to geographical and digital constraints.

The platform's launch is scheduled for September 3rd, where stakeholders will explore potential partnerships. With the growing adoption of AI to personalize information access, YouthDesk.ai aims to apply this technology to youth development and opportunity discovery.
